Chip Klosterman
President
Klosterman Baking Company
Chip Klosterman grew up in the baking industry. Washing trucks at the age of 13 and working summers at the bakery through high school and college, Chip learned the business from the ground up. After earning a degree in Economics in 1984 from DePauw University, Chip returned to the family baking business. He worked in various sales and operations roles for the next 7 years. In 1991, Chip accepted the position of President of Klosterman Baking Company, succeeding his father in that role. Chip lead Klosterman's growth for the last 20 years — growth that now includes 4 plants, 9 distributions centers, and millions of satisfied customers.
In addition to his responsibilities at Klosterman Baking Company, Chip has been active in other baking capacities throughout his career. He served on various Boards, including The Long Company (a baking co-operative), The Ohio Bakers Association, and the Tri State Bakers Association (past president). He is past Chairman and current board member of the American Bakers Association, the main lobbying group for the bakery industry. Chip is also a member of the Young Presidents Organization's (YPO) Cincinnati Chapter.
Family and community service are also very important in Chip's life. Chip is the past Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ronald McDonald House of Greater Cincinnati and currently serves on the Advisory Board. He served on the Board of Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and as Trustee of the Summit Country Day School in Cincinnati. In addition to spending time with his three daughters, Chip enjoys golfing, fishing and hunting in his spare time.
